On 13th & Park, Ballard Partners’ popular interview podcast, host Adam Goodman has similarly been profiling figures who are dedicated to enhancing the health of every American. Here’s a closer look at four healthcare professionals who have recently appeared on 13th & Park.
Dr. Mylene Yao and Dr. Kaylen Silverberg
Drs. Mylene Yao and Kaylen Silverberg have dedicated their careers to helping couples achieve the dream of parenthood. They recently joined Adam Goodman for a joint episode to discuss in vitro fertilization (IVF) and the role technology can play in its use.
Dr. Yao is the cofounder and CEO of Univfy. An innovative AI platform, Univfy draws on scientific and spending data to produce personalized reports that accurately predict success rates and the costs of having a child with IVF. She has led Univfy from its inception, growing it from its nascent stages into a commercial company. An OB/GYN by training, Dr. Yao graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School and undertook her clinical training at McGill University and Harvard University.
A reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Silverberg has spent decades providing patients with a range of fertility services aimed at helping them grow their families. Since 1997, he has served as the medical director of the Texas Fertility Center, a practice with offices across the Lone Star State. Dr. Silverberg himself is based in Austin, where he has developed a reputation for his expertise in navigating—and ultimately overcoming—infertility.
Dr. Jay Bhattacharya
Dr. Jay Bhattacharya is the director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Nominated in November 2024, he was confirmed by the US Senate the following March. As NIH director, Dr. Bhattacharya has focused on combating chronic disease in America while working to leverage advanced technologies to enable the agency to further its mission. He joined 13th & Park in October 2025 for a discussion on implementing this vision.
A renowned doctor, research, and health economist, Dr. Bhattacharya previously served as a tenured professor at Stanford University, where his research centered on chronic disease and aging. He is the author of more than 170 published research papers and the coauthor of the Great Barrington Declaration, an open letter released in October 2020 that called for a reshaping of policies on how communities should manage the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Mehmet Oz
Dr. Mehmet Oz has long worked to improve the health of Americans, both as a doctor and a television host. Today, he brings this experience to his role as administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), a presidentially appointed post to which he was confirmed in April 2025. Dr. Oz joined Adam Goodman in September 2025 to discuss his plans for reforming CMS and repairing America’s healthcare system.
Best known to many as the host of The Dr. Oz Show, Dr. Oz is a graduate of Harvard University, where he completed his undergraduate degree, and the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a joint MD–MBA. He has held academic positions at Columbia University and led the heart institute at New York Presbyterian Medical Center.
